For the last twelve years, my life has run on espresso shots and human connection, usually in that order. My career in coffee began over a decade ago, and this long-term passion has been the foundation of everything I do.
In 2017, that passion took center stage when I won my local barista championship. It was equal parts thrilling and surreal—like your Tuesday morning routine suddenly has a trophy. That experience, built upon years of daily practice, was a milestone in my journey. But honestly, what I’ve learned behind the bar matters more than any competition: how a remembered name can change someone’s day, how a perfectly frothed latte feels like a small act of care.
